Norman R. Augustine is a member of the Citizens Advisory Group.

Norman R. Augustine is chairman of the Executive Committee of the Lockheed Martin Corporation. After spending nearly 20 years as an engineer at aerospace companies and serving as undersecretary of the Army in the Pentagon, he joined the Martin Marietta Corporation in 1977. Mr. Augustine became its chairman and CEO in 1988 and 1987, respectively, and then served as president of the Lockheed Martin Corporation upon its formation in 1995. He was subsequently CEO and chairman before his retirement in August 1997, after which he spent two years on the faculty of the Princeton University School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is currently a member of the board of directors of ConocoPhillips, the Black & Decker Corporation, the Procter & Gamble Company, and Lockheed Martin, and he is a member of the board of trustees of Colonial Williamsburg and the Johns Hopkins University and is a prior trustee of MIT and Princeton University. Mr. Augustine has been on the boards of many other nonprofit organizations, including serving as chairman and principal officer of the American Red Cross for nine years and as president of the Boy Scouts of America. He has been presented the National Medal of Technology by the President of the United States and has five times been awarded the Department of Defense's highest civilian decoration, the Distinguished Service Medal. Holder of 18 honorary degrees, Mr. Augustine graduated from Princeton University with a B.S.E. magna cum laude and an M.S.E.
