Todd Chasteen is a member of the Government Oversight and Self-Regulation Work Group and and also serves on the Self-Regulation Advisory Group.
Todd Chasteen serves as Vice President of Administration, Human Resources, and General Counsel for Samaritan’s Purse, an international nonprofit organization with offices in Australia, Canada, Holland, Ireland, Kenya, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He is responsible for regulatory oversight of state, federal and international registrations, charitable gift annuity filings, government grants, and Combined Federal Campaign filings. Prior to serving with Samaritan’s Purse, he worked as a Senior Attorney Advisor for the Honorable Lawrence Wright at the United States Tax Court and subsequently practiced law specializing in exempt organization law. Earlier in his career he was a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida. Mr. Chasteen graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and earned his J.D. with honors and L.L.M.- Taxation from the University of Florida. He recently served on the ECFA Ad Hoc Legislative Committee and as a member of the TRUST Coalition to consider issues related to the nonprofit sector.
