Audrey Alvarado

Audrey Alvarado is a co-convener of the Small Organizations Work Group.

Audrey R. Alvarado is the executive director of the National Council of Nonprofit Associations, the umbrella organization of state and regional nonprofit associations. She was previously associate dean for student and external affairs at the University of Colorado at Denver Graduate School of Public Affairs, where her duties included overseeing the nonprofit management programs. She has also been executive director of the Latin American Research and Service Agency in Denver and program director of the Hispanic Office of Planning and Evaluation's Talent Search program in Boston. She serves currently on an advisory committee for the Aspen Institute's Nonprofit Sector Research Fund and the boards of the Alliance for Nonprofit Insurance Risk Retention Group, the Foundation Center, and BoardSource; her past positions include serving as chair of the Colorado Association of Nonprofit Organizations and the National Council of La Raza. She received her B.A. from the University of the Pacific and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Utah.
