Jane Leighty Justis is a trustee and executive director of The Leighty Foundation, founded in Iowa by her father in 1985, which focuses on the promotion of philanthropy and volunteerism. In addition to overseeing the foundation, Ms. Justis has held leadership roles with the Council on Foundations, Association of Small Foundations, Women's Philanthropy Institute, National Center for Family Philanthropy, Colorado Association of Funders, and Pikes Peak Community Foundation. She has trained hundreds of foundation trustees and staff at conferences, workshops, and seminars, and is frequently called on to advise families who are considering creating a family foundation or donor advised fund.
