He joined United Way after retiring as a partner with Ernst & Young LLP where he specialized in public companies registered with the Securities Exchange Commission and significant not-for-profit entities. A certified public accountant, Mr. Astrof has a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Baruch College of the City University of New York.
