Michael Bailin is a co-convener of the Transparency and Financial Accountability Work Group.
Michael Bailin is president of the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, which for the past 30 years has been committed to improving the lives of people from low-income communities. Before coming to the foundation in 1996, Mr. Bailin was founder, former president and CEO of Public/Private Ventures, a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to enhancing opportunities for young people in poor communities. He previously worked as a consultant to the Ford Foundation, and also served as the deputy director and counsel to the South Street Seaport Museum in New York City. Mr. Bailin has practiced law and taught at both Dartmouth and Franconia colleges in New Hampshire. He graduated from Dartmouth in 1964 and received a law degree and master's degree in urban planning from Yale University in 1969. Over the years he has helped build and has served as a board member and advisor to numerous nonprofit organizations.
