Carol Crenshaw is a member of the Transparency and Financial Accountability Work Group.

Carol Crenshaw is the vice president and CFO for The Chicago Community Trust, a community foundation established in 1915. An employee of the trust for 21 years, Ms. Crenshaw is primarily responsible for overseeing accounting, investment programs, and financial reporting. She was previously an auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick/Chicago, specializing in banks and nonprofit organizations. Ms. Crenshaw is a member of the board of directors of the Donors Forum of Chicago, a past board member and treasurer of the Nonprofit Financial Center, and a trustee of the John L. Patten Charitable Trust. She is a member of the Accounting Practices Committee of Community Foundations, a committee formed to monitor the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and to provide educational assistance to the community foundation sector. A certified public accountant, Ms. Crenshaw graduated from Northern Illinois University.
