Linda Lampkin is a member of the Forms 990-PF Advisory Committee.

Ms. Lampkin is program director of the National Center for Charitable Statistics, a program of the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy at the Urban Institute.  Since 1996, she has directed NCCS activities to develop and disseminate data on nonprofit organizations, promoting their use for research and policy analysis. She also plays a key role in the NCCS efforts to improve the quality of nonprofit reporting on the IRS Form 990.  Working closely with IRS and state charity officials, as well as nonprofit practitioners and financial professionals, NCCS recommends changes in Form 990 format, content, and instructions each year. She also works on standards for nonprofit accounting and reporting and classification systems for use by both researchers and practitioners. Prior to joining NCCS, Ms. Lampkin conducted research for nonprofit organizations and taught for the University of Maryland, Far East Division.  She holds a BS and MS in Economics from Cornell University.
