David R. Lindberg has served as vice president of finance and administration at the Council of Michigan Foundations since 1995, where he oversees the investment of approximately $10 million in endowment funds and provides technical assistance to members in the areas of investments, accounting and administration. He is also responsible for the financial reporting of three supporting organizations. Mr. Lindberg is past treasurer and secretary and current member of the finance committee for the Forum of Regional Association of Grantmakers. He is a member of the community foundation Fiscal and Administrative Officers Group and a member of the Council on Foundations’ Effective Practices Committee and advisory committee member for COF administration and finance manual. A graduate of Central Michigan University with a major in accounting, Mr. Lindberg is a certificated public accountant with the State of Michigan and worked for three years in public accounting with Coopers & Lybrand and Touche Ross.
